No woman killed in Znamenskoye attack - official (Part 2)

ZNAMENSKOYE, Chechen Republic. July 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The Nadterechnaya district's deputy administration chief Ibragim Indarbiyev has denied media reports claiming that a woman was killed in Tuesday's terrorist attack in the village of Znamenskoye.

"This media report was thoroughly checked by all law enforcement agencies. I can state confidently that it is not true," Indarbiyev said.

The official confirmed that "14 people, among them ten police officers, a deputy head of the Nadterechnaya district department of the Russian Federal Security Service branch for the Chechen Republic, two boys and a pensioner, were killed by the explosion."

Twenty-four people, including five police officers, were injured, he said.
