Fourteen killed, 29 injured in Znamenskoye attack

GROZNY. July 22 (Interfax-AVN) - The latest report suggests that 14 people were killed and another 29 injured in Tuesday's terrorist attack in the village of Znamenskoye, Tatiana Pashko, the Nadterechny district's administration deputy chief, told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.

"Fourteen people, not 15 as certain sources claim, died on the spot. We have used different sources to verify this information. We know that only 14 people were killed. We have identified them," Pashko said.

"This list includes ten police officers, one Federal Security Service district department official and three civilians; among them, two teenagers and a pensioner," she said.

Of the 29 people injured in the attack, 19 are being treated at hospitals in the Nadterechny district, Mozdok, Vladikavkaz and Moscow.

The Chechen government will pay compensation to people whose family members were killed or injured in the attack, Pashko said.
