Council on airborne phased array radar development to restore its work

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The Council of Chief Designers on Development and Mass Production of Promising Airborne Active Phased Array Radars will soon restore its work, Yury Guskov, chief designer and first deputy director general of the Fazotron-NIIR corporation, said on Friday.

"Leaders of the Federal Industry Agency are taking measures to restore the work of the Council of Chief Constructors on Development and Mass Production of Promising Active Airborne Phased Array Radars," Guskov told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The Council was created several years ago to coordinate development of promising airborne phased array radars and optimize the decisions made on the issue, he said. However its work was effectively stopped in the process of restructuring of the defense industry management system.

According to Guskov, the Council includes heads of the enterprises developing airborne phased array radars.
