New director general of High-Speed Ships Company appointed

MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The High-Speed Ships Financial-Industrial Group has appointed Vadim Kulikov, former first deputy director general of the group, new director general, an official of the group told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.

Ex-director general Gennady Danilov has been elected chairman of the High Speed Ships Board of Directors, the official said.

He noted that Kulikov had joined the company two years before, after he had left the post of deputy head of the Maritime Security Department of the Russian Federal Border Guard Service.

High-Speed Ships comprises 11 shipyards and design bureaus, as well as the Zvezda plant, the only manufacturer of diesel engines for high-speed ships and vessels.

The company assigns priority to designing, building and delivering to customers high-speed boats and ships with a displacement of up to 500 tonnes. For instance, it has developed various modifications of the Mustang PT boat with a displacement of 35 tonnes, the Sokzhoy boat with a displacement of 100 tonnes, and a whole range of other high-speed ships and vessels.
