MOSCOW. Nov 3 (Interfax-AVN) - One serviceman of the Interior Ministry Forces was killed in a blast of the improvised explosive device in the Staropromyslovsky district of Grozny, a Chechen law enforcement official told Interfax-Military News Agency Thursday.
"An Interior Ministry Forces detachment was on an engineering reconnaissance mission in the district, when the IED blasted killing one of the conscripts," the official said.
He also said that a militant was detained in the suburbs of the Urus-Martan village in the forest. The man is a resident of Chechnya's Sunzha district.
"The detainee showed the cache with an RPG-25 rocket launcher, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a 120-mm artillery projectile, seven grenades for a grenade-launcher, improvised grenades and detonators," the official said.
According to the law enforcement of the republic, policemen and military commandant's officers found a large cache with weapons and ammunition in a desolate house in Argun.
"Three rocket launchers, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, 23 VOG-17 rounds, 1,605 7.62-mm rounds and seven IEDs were found in it," he said.
According to him, two of the IEDs were made of 122-mm artillery rounds, another four were placed in 10-liter buckets sealed with special foam, their total weight reaching about 60 kilos.
The press center of the Interior Ministry Forces's temporary group in the North Caucasus told Interfax-AVN on Thursday that two more militants were apprehended.
"A 23-year old local was captured for illegal storing of ammo. Two fully loaded 30-round magazines were found in his car during routine search," press service informs.
A 24-year old citizen of Shali was detained in the district of the same name on suspicion of attacking federal forces' detachments and civilians acting as part of a militant group.
"It has been revealed that the detainee was involved into the armed attack on the Shali village administration chief in August this year," the law enforcement official said.
