Head of export company charged with illegal transfer of technology to China – FSB

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax-AVN) - The investigative department of the Federal Security Service (FSB) has charged Igor Reshetin, general director of the TsNIIMASH-Export company, with the illegal transfer of dual-purpose technologies to China.

"On October 25, 2005, Reshetin was charged with illegal transfer to the Chinese export and import corporation Tochma of technologies whose export is controlled by the state. He was also charged with misappropriating about 30 million rubles ($1.04 million) involving false companies registered with lost passports or the passports of nonexistent individuals," the PR center of the FSB told Interfax on Monday.

Simultaneously, charges of misappropriation of the same amount by a group led by Reshetin were brought against his deputy Sergei Tverdokhklebov and aide, Alexander Rozhkin.

"Given the gravity of the charges and the attempts of the defendants to pressure parties to the criminal proceedings, Moscow's Lefortovo District Court has authorized the confinement of Reshetin, Tverdokhlebov and Rozhkin," an FSB spokesman said.
