ROSTOV-ON-DON/GROZNY/NAZRAN. Nov 15 (Interfax-AVN) - A 22-year-old member of an armed group has been detained in the city of Argun, a Shali district administration source told Interfax by phone on Tuesday.
The man was a member of a group led by Abuzar Abdulkarimov, who was killed last year. Police seized an automatic weapon and cartridges during the arrest.
In other incidents, two masked gunmen dressed in camouflage stole 40,000 rubles from an apartment in downtown Grozny, Chechen Interior Ministry sources told Interfax.
On Monday, a group of masked gunmen wearing camouflage entered a private house in the village of Alkhan-Kala and stole 25,000 rubles and a cell-phone from the owner.
A 25-year-old armed group member sustained gunshot wounds in a shootout with Ingush policemen. He was detained and taken to hospital in North Ossetia's capital of Vladikavkaz, an Ingush Interior Ministry source told Interfax.
