Kiriyenko appointed Rosatom chief

MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Ex-presidential envoy to the Volga Federal District Sergei Kiriyenko has been appointed Federal Atomic Energy Agency (Rosatom) chief, government office head Sergei Naryshkin told the press.

"The order to appoint Kiriyenko to his new post was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov," Naryshkin said.

He added that Kiriyenko's predecessor Alexander Rumyantsev has been transferred to another job.
