GROZNY/URUS-MARTAN. Nov 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Three landmines were found on the Kavkaz federal highway outside Aklkhan-Kala Sunday morning.
Two of them were found and defused on the stretch between Grozny and Urus-Martan, after Chechen President Alu Alkhanov had driven by, an Interfax correspondent reported.
Alkhanov earlier arrived in his native town of Urus-Martan from Grozny to be among the first to cast a ballot in the Chechen parliamentary elections.
Traffic has resumed on the highway by this hour.
