MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin thinks that the current system of housing certificates for servicemen is a fraud.
"We must stop this fraud immediately," he said at a Monday meeting with government members.
Putin ordered the prime minister to reach an agreement with parliament deputies and assign an additional 15 billion rubles ($519.5 million) in 2006 for solving servicemen's housing problems.
He also instructed the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the Finance Ministry and the State Duma to consider in mid-2006 "administrative measures for giving accommodations to servicemen before year-end."
