Danish military delegation studying Ukrainian officer training system

KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax-AVN) - A delegation of the Danish Royal Armed Forces is studying the training system in the Ukrainian National Defense Academy in the framework of the annual bilateral cooperation system, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service said on Monday.

"A delegation of the Danish Royal Defense Academy led by Major General Karsten Mouler is making a working visit to Kyiv. The visit is part of the Ukrainian-Danish bilateral cooperation program for 2005, it is part of the Dannish military delegation's tour of European countries," a press service official told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The delegation consists of 11 officers of the Strategy and Military Operations Department and 52 cadets, he said.

The goal of the tour is to expand the cadets' knowledge of foreign and defense policy, brief them on the content of military doctrines and military leaders of the countries they visit, as well as to improve practical experience in interaction with partners.

The press service noted that while visiting the National Defense Academy, the Danish delegation was briefed on the cadet training system, capabilities, missions and objectives of the Multinational HQ Officer Training Center and Imitation Modeling Center.

The Danish delegation will round up its visit to Ukraine on Tuesday.
