MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Thailand announced on Tuesday that they had decided to "accelerate negotiations" seeking an agreement on the joint exploration and civilian use of space.
Russia also expressed readiness to cooperate with Thailand in space research and the training of personnel for the space industry, including "the possibility for Thais to be trained as cosmonauts who would inspire younger generations in Thailand to achieve the loftiest of goals in the modern period of globalization," the two countries said in a statement after talks between the Russian and Thai foreign ministers, Sergei Lavrov and Khanthathi Suphamongkhon.
