KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-AVN) - A Ukrainian military delegation will discuss prospects of the bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of the two states in the course of the ongoing visit to Spain, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press-service told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.
"In the course of upcoming negotiations the sides plan to discuss the state and prospects of cooperation between their armed forces, as well as Ukraine's cooperation with NATO, and share their experience in reforming and developing their armed forces. They will also discuss the feasibility of joint participation in international peacekeeping operations," a press service official said.
He noted that Colonel General Serhiy Kyrychenko, Ukrainian Armed Forces chief of staff and commander-in-chief, would meet with Spanish Chief of Staff General Felix Sanz Roldan and Deputy Defense Minister Admiral Francisco Torrente Sanchez on Tuesday.
The Ukrainian delegation will visit the Spanish Military Academy to examine military personnel training, as well as Spanish peacekeepers training on Wednesday. The delegation will visit the El Goloso armor regiment later in the day.
Kyrychenko will visit the NATO Army Command Madrid and meet with its commander Lieutenant General Inizio Perez Navarra on Thursday.
