MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has said that all objects belonging to the Black Sea Fleet will cease being sub-let from spring 2006.
"There will be no sub-letting at the Black Sea fleet starting on March 1, 2006," Ivanov told journalists in Moscow on Tuesday.
"Under a decision by the presidents and supreme commanders-in-chief of the two countries, a special sub-commission will be set up to address the functioning of the Black Sea Fleet," Ivanov said.
"All issues concerning the rotation of Black Sea Fleet personnel and vessels, its infrastructure and stationing will be discussed within the framework of this sub-commission. We, as defense ministers, will send our proposals and recommendations to it," he said.
