MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax-AVN) - The list of Russian defense industry enterprises allowed to pursuit foreign economic activity on their own will most likely be enlarged, Alexander Denisov, first deputy director of the Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service, told a news conference in Moscow Wednesday.
"The Oboronprom helicopter building holding company and the Ilyushin company will be granted the right of individual foreign trade three or four months from now," Denisov said.
He pointed out that the products of the companies are in demand in the international market.
In reply to reporters' questions, he said that the 2005 Russian weapon export plan will be fulfilled, and the sum earned will reach $5 billion.
According to Denisov, Russian arms export should not be lower than $5 billion in the future. He said he is sure that next year the revenues from weapon sales will reach at least the same level or higher, owing to the increase in sales of spares and after-sale maintenance.
He also said that the Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service has contacts with 82 countries.
