KYIV. Dec 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Ukrainian military specialists will visit Belgium, where they will be briefed on research and development at national defense colleges, as well as on training patterns for peacekeeping, an official of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service told Interfax-Military News Agency Tuesday.
"The main objective of the visit is to share experience with Belgian counterparts in organization of training process and research work in defense colleges, as well as to get informed on the most advanced information technologies being introduced in the training process," the official said.
He added that within the framework of the visit, the Ukrainian military delegation will be acquainted with the structure of defense colleges, including the Belgian higher defense academy, and the training programs. The Ukrainians will also get to know the principles of Belgium in training peacekeepers.
According to him, the Ukrainian specialists will in their turn inform Belgian counterparts on the Armed Forces reform and reorganization in Ukraine, and will tell them of the role and place of military education within the background of the reformation.
The Ukrainian delegation is headed by the National Defense Academy's Deputy Commander for training Major General Anatoliy Yevtushenko. The visit will end on Wednesday.
