MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Several arms caches were destroyed in the North Caucasus on Tuesday, the joint press-center of the Russian Interior Ministry Regional Operational Headquarters in the North Caucasus told Interfax-Military News Agency on Wednesday.
According to the press-center, arms caches destroyed were found in Grozny, Gudermes, and the villages of Bashen-Kale, Gorgachi, and Simsir.
In addition to that, a total of three 122-mm mortar bombs, eight rockets, two hand grenades, six electric fuses, and about 200 rounds were found in a dilapidated sheep-yard, situated 4.5 km away from the village of Sergokala in Dagestan. Another arms cache was destroyed in a forest on the outskirts of Nalchik in Kabardino-Balkariya. It stored a makeshift explosive charge (a tank filled with 800 g of TNT and a fuse), hand grenades, and long-term storage food supplies.
