TBILISI. Feb 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian peacekeepers deployed in the breakaway republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia must have Georgian visas, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vladimir Chkhikvishvili on Friday.
"Like all citizens of Russia, these Russian servicemen must receive Georgian visas in line with international agreements and Georgian law," the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Georgia is ready to launch consultations with Russia to resolve visa-related problems, the release reads.
