Russia optimistic of positive outcome in Iranian nuclear talks – Putin

BAKU. Feb 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia remains optimistic for the future of Russian-Iranian negotiations, despite their complicated nature, President Vladimir Putin said.

"The Moscow negotiations were difficult. However, we are optimistic that we will be able reach a positive decision," the president said at a news conference in Baku on Wednesday.

"There is now a break in the negotiations to enable the Iranian delegation to consult the authorities, he said.

The Russian proposal on creating a uranium enrichment joint venture on its territory "is acceptable for Iran and may be used to settle the issue," Putin said.
