MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Two armed group members and a collaborator have been captured in Chechnya in the past 24 hours, a local law enforcement source told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.
"One of the armed group members was captured in the town of Urus-Martan, while the second militant was detained in the village of Yalkhoi-Mokhk in the Kurchaloi district," the source said.
The militant captured in the Kurchaloi district lives in the Dagestani city of Khasavyurt. He admitted to involvement is a series of terrorist attacks against federal troops in Chechnya and Dagestan.
A man was detained in the village of Baitarki in the Nozhai-Yurt district for harboring militants and gathering information on federal troops.
A source in Dagestani law-enforcement agencies told Interfax-AVN by phone that an unemployed local has been detained in Makhachkala for transporting a Makarov pistol and eight cartridges in his Zhiguli car. An investigation is underway.
