MINSK. March 16 (Interfax-AVN) - The Belarussian State Security Committee has information concerning terrorist acts that may be perpetrated during an unauthorized opposition rally in downtown Minsk at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Committee Chairman Stepan Sukhorenko told a Thursday news conference in Minsk.
"We know the possible perpetrators by name. They will be apprehended on charges of terrorism, if blood is spilt," he said.
"They are preparing to conduct terrorist acts," Belarussian Prosecutor General Pyotr Miklashevich said. "It is important to stop them now," he said.
The journalists were shown a video of an unnamed young man who said that he had been trained in militants' camps outside Belarus.
He said he "had been taught to handle mines, arms, grenades and detonators and to poison people."
The man's group was planning to demolish four secondary schools in Minsk, Sukhorenko said.
