MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax-AVN) - General James Jones, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, will arrive in Moscow for a visit on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The itinerary of the visit includes talks with Russian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Army General Yury Baluyevsky and a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, the spokesman said.
Jones is also expected to meet with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Igor Ivanov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and chairman of the State Duma defense committee Viktor Zavarzin, he said.
"The talks and meetings in Moscow are expected to address, among other issues, interaction in the framework of the NATO-Russia Council, the situation around Iran's nuclear program, and cooperation in combating international terrorism," the spokesman said.
During the visit that will last until Saturday, Jones will travel to St. Petersburg, where he is to meet with Army General Igor Puzanov, commander of the Leningrad military district.
