MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax-AVN) - The problem of the Polyot health center, owned by the Gromov Flight Test Institute and situated near the town of Sudak in the Crimea, which was illegally seized by the Ukrainian authorities, should be solved at the intergovernmental level, the Gromov Flight Test Institute officials said.
"The verdict on transferring the Polyot health center to Ukraine is illegal. The issue should be settled at the intergovernmental level," head of the Gromov Institute Yury Klishin told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.
He pointed out that the dispute had been going on for about four years. There were several court hearings within that time, but finally the Ukrainian authorities decided to seize the health center by force.
According to Klishin, the Gromov Flight Test Institute needs the health center. "We convene international conferences there on an annual basis, and test pilots and cosmonauts restore their health there," he said.
Klishin said that the health center administration was still manned by Russian citizens. "We intend to send a team of lawyers to Sudak in the near future to settle the conflict," he said.
A uniformed team has recently seized the Russian health center, appealing to the verdict of a Ukrainian court of law.
