MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia wants Iran to cooperate more closely with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyak told a Moscow conference held ahead of the G8 summit in St. Petersburg.
"A search for a solution [to Iran's nuclear problem] should follow a diplomatic path. Our position is the following: the IAEA should remain the sole instrument to sort out this problem because we have no other international agency holding similar powers in the nonproliferation area," he said.
