Russian aircraft manufacturers to display products at ILA 2006 air show

MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will display over 200 various types of aircraft, aircraft armament and equipment, ground equipment, and other defense products at the ILA 2006 air show to be held in Berlin on May 16-21.

"The Russian exposition will see participation of about 70 Russian companies. Models, mock-ups, booklets, posters, and electronic media will give information on over 200 types of defense products," the Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service press-service told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.

According to the press-service, the Russian exposition will include mock-ups of the MiG-29M tactical fighter, developed by RSK MIG, and the Mi-17-1V utility helicopter simulator, produced by the P.E.T. Kronshtadt Company.

The Russian exhibition at the ILA 2006 show will be presented by the Russian Federal Industrial Agency.

The press-service pointed out that ILA was one of the world's most popular air shows. This year the show is sponsored by Messe Berline GmbH jointly with BDLI.

In addition to Russia, the show will traditionally see participation of flagship consortiums from Germany, the UK, France, Japan, Central and Eastern Asia, North America, Asia.
