MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax-AVN) - The Oboronprom united industrial holding company will demonstrate export modifications of Mil and Kamov helicopters at the ILA 2006 international aerospace exhibition in Berlin.
"Oboronprom's stand, uniting the Moscow-based Mil helicopter plant, Kamov company, Ulan-Ude aircraft plant, Kazan helicopter plant and Rostvertol company, will display flight and performance specifications of the whole model line of combat and commercial helicopters designed by Mil and Kamov," reads the press release of the holding company received by Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
Oboronprom's delegation will be headed by the company's Director General Denis Manturov.
"Russian helicopter builders have good and solid ties with Europe in general and Germany in particular, because lots of Mi-8/17 helicopters have been used there for many years. Ka-32s are vital for fire-fighting in forests and multi-storeyed and industrial installations of Germany, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland. The presence of our aircraft in the most competitive market of Europe attests to their superb performance and the brilliancy of solutions imparted in the machines by Russian developers," Manturov is quoted as saying. The press service also informs that the guests of the show will be able to get comprehensive information on Mi-8 and Mi-17 utility helicopters, world's heaviest Mi-26, new-generation Mi-28N Night Hunter combat helicopter and multirole Ka-32, Mi-38, Ka-62 and Ka-226 ones.
The Oboronprom helicopter building holding also has Moscow Vpered machine-building plant, Stupino machine-building association and the Kamov Holding Company in its structure.
