MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree dismissing a number of high-ranking officials from the Federal Security Service's (FSB) investigative department for protecting constitutional order and resisting terrorism.
First deputy chief of the department Major General Ye. Kolesnikov and deputy chief of the department A. Plotnikov have been dismissed, a source told Interfax.
Deputy head of the FSB's economic security service department for fighting contraband and illegal drugs S. Fomenko was also relieved of his duties, the source said.
