NATO officials to study Ukrainian Air Force’s preparations for flights according to CAO rules

KYIV. May 24 (Interfax-AVN) - NATO liaison office representatives will familiarize themselves with the preparation of air crews and aircraft for flights in accordance with CAO rules at the Ukrainian Air Force's air transport brigade, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service said on Wednesday.

"Representatives of the NATO liaison office and defense attaches of NATO member states in Ukraine, led by Colonel Pierluigi Grimaldi of the Italian army, arrived at the air transport brigade, stationed near Vinnytsya, on May 24," a press service official told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The visitors will use the unit as an example showing the state and reform prospects of the Ukrainian Air Force. They will discuss the matters in which NATO member states can help Ukraine, he said.

The Ukrainian party will inform the delegation on the progress in preparing air crews and aircraft for flights in accordance with CAD rules. The guests will be shown the medical variety of the An-26 VITA aircraft and a demonstrative exercise in aero-medical evacuation.
