BAKU. May 31 (Interfax-AVN) - The relocation of part of hardware from Russia's military base in Georgia's Akhalkalaki to the Gyumri military base in Armenia will not destabilize the situation in the region, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has said.
"This cannot lead to a destabilization of the military-political situation in the region, especially taking into account that the withdrawal of this property does not violate the CFE Treaty's flank limits," Ivanov said at a news conference in Baku on Wednesday.
