MINSK. June 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The countering of unfriendly actions that destabilize the situation in Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states was discussed at a meeting last week, head of the Belarussian Security Council Viktor Sheiman said.
"We agreed to create a mechanism on countering unfriendly actions that could destabilize the situation in CSTO member states," he said on a national TV channel.
"The activity of external forces is disguised by high-minded goals to fight international terrorism and the development of pseudo-institutes of civil society," he said.
Exercises with the participation of representatives of governments of CSTO member states are to be carried out within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus in 2007, he said.
