MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East and called for the immediate release of the Israeli serviceman and an end to acts of terrorism.
"The Israeli serviceman must be released immediately. This release will meet the Palestinian national interests," ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said on Thursday.
The Israeli-Palestinian situation is now "very complicated," he said. "It requires urgent efforts to prevent further dangerous destabilization in the region, and self-control and wisdom of all sides," he said.
"The Palestinian administration, all Palestinian organizations and movements should do their best to stop terrorism and bombings in Israeli cities," Kamynin said.
