MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rosoboronexport arms trading company of Russia has prepared a set of aircraft and air defense systems as exhibits for the weapons show in Nizhny Tagil from July 11 to 15.
According to the company's press release, despite the land force theme dominating in the forthcoming show, aircraft and air defense systems will also be demonstrated. The guests and participants will see Su-24M, Su-25T and Su-27Sm fixed-wing planes and Mi-35 and Mi-28 helicopters.
In addition, specialists will be able to obtain the fullest information about Mi-35, Mi-35M and Mi-35P utility helicopters, Ka-50 single-seated combat heli, Ka-31 radar surveillance helicopter and Ka-226 light utility helicopter.
As for the air defense equipment on the display, this will include the Igla man portable air defense system, the Buk-M1 self-propelled surface-to-air missile system, Osa-AKM, Tor-M1 and modernized Strela-10M SAM systems, as well as the Polyana-D4M1 automated air defense battery command vehicle and 3D 1L117M round-looking radar.
Also exhibited will be a long lineup of specialized equipment and systems, in demand in the world in light of the looming danger of terrorism. Among them is the 2R1-U set for explosive device destruction, the Vyrub-S explosive device destructor and the Vorokh set of demolition charges.
The press service also informs that special attention at the show will be given to the variants of modernization of Russian weapons in service with foreign armed forces. These include a wide range of technologies and concepts to increase combat and maintenance capabilities of in-service systems, fit cutting-edge night vision systems, navigation systems, reconnaissance and communication systems in them and ensure their automation to a high extent.
