BISHKEK. July 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Five members of an armed group that tried to illegally cross the border into Kyrgyzstan on Friday were killed by Kyrgyz security forces, a Kyrgyz security service source said.
"Two of the five militants who have been killed have been identified already," the source told Interfax.
He did not give the two alleged militants' names but said intelligence services knew them by their pseudonyms, Rais and Palvan.
He said they were Uzbek citizens and that Uzbekistan had issued international arrest warrants for them as they were accused of participation in the Islamic Movement of Turkestan and the Hizb ut-Tahrir party, groups that are banned in Uzbekistan.
The group tried to break into Kyrgyzstan near the southern Kyrgyz city of Dzhalal-Abad.
