MAKHACHKALA. July 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Police officers and Interior Ministry servicemen arrested a local citizen, suspected of committing a number of crimes as part of a terrorist unit, in a forest near the town of Khasavyurt, the Dagestani Interior Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.
"The man arrested carried a Makarov pistol with a silencer and four rounds," an official said.
In addition to that, a local, carrying a Makarov pistol with three rounds, was arrested in Kizilyurt on Monday night.
According to Dagestani law-enforcement agencies, an arms cache was detected near the village of Agachkala in the Buynaksk district. The cache stored three RGD-5 grenades, over 600 rounds, and two makeshift explosive charges, made of metal buckets, filled with construction foam.
