MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax-AVN) - More than a thousand evacuees from Lebanon have been flown to Moscow over the past 24 hours, spokesman for the Russian embassy in Syria Yevgeny Posukhov told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.
"We have sent over a thousand Russian citizens and citizens of other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States to Russia using at least four planes," the Russian diplomat said.
About 100 people are being processed, and they will fly to Moscow on the next plane, he said.
"In principle, all those who have arrived at the international airport of Latakia in Syria are expected to fly to Russia later today," Posukhov said.
