Additional efforts could advance Transdniestrian issue – Lavrov

KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has expressed hope that the settlement of the Transdniestrian will progress.

"There is a feeling that with additional efforts and assistance from mediators, we will be able to break the stalemate," Lavrov said after talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk in Kyiv.

Much attention was paid to the Transdniestrian issue at the talks, because Russia and Ukraine are mediators in the conflict, Lavrov said.
