MINSK. Nov 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Belarussian air defense assets are ready to provide reliable protection from air attacks to the nuclear power plant that is planned to be built in the country, Lieutenant General Oleg Paferov, commander of the Belarussian Air Force and Air Defense, said on Tuesday.
"No matter where the facility is built, we can update the mission for our forces and ensure its reliable protection," Paferov told a news conference in Minsk.
"Both the zonal and the facility air defense are efficient," he noted, explaining that this is the result of Belarus' small territory.
