Russia-NATO Council to meet on Thursday in Brussels

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Deputy Russian Chief of Staff Colonel General Alexander Skvortsov will head Russia's delegation at another meeting of the Russia-NATO Council at the level of chiefs of staff, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"A meeting of the Russia-NATO Council will take place at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Thursday. The agenda of the meeting include the discussion of a plan for the council's work at the level of chiefs of staff in 2007," reads the statement received by Interfax-AVN.

The meeting will also focus on "current and long-term issues of military cooperation, in particular interoperability of forces and further participation of the Russian Navy in NATO's Active Endeavor," the document reads.
