Siberian Air Space Salon 2006 to be held in Krasnoyarsk Dec 8-10

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax-AVN) - The Siberian Air Space Salon (SASS) 2006 air show, which was to have been conducted on December 1-3, has been postponed, the Russian Federal Space Agency reported.

"The show will be postponed until December 8-10, 2006 for technical reasons," the agency's official web site said.

"According to SASS 2006 Chief Executive Sergei Smirnov, sponsors of the show hope that numerous participants in the show will use the time for additional preparations," it said.

Registration of SASS 2006 participants continues. The workgroup of the air show has developed a draft program, comprising about a dozen large-scale events ranging from contests and conferences up to demonstration flights. The AirUnion Alliance and the Reshetnev Applied Mechanics Research and Production Association have confirmed their participation in SASS 2006, it said.
