MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said building battalions will be disbanded by late 2006, and Defense Ministry construction organizations will be transformed into joint stock companies.
"This year we are completely disbanding military construction detachments. The infamous building battalion will be eliminated," he said at a meeting of army and navy leaders in Moscow.
