HANOI. Nov 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Following checks, the U.S. authorities have lifted sanctions on the Russian aircraft-building corporation Sukhoi, earlier blamed for allegedly violating the United States' Iran Nonproliferation Act.
The decision to lift sanctions on Sukhoi was announced by U.S. President George W. Bush during talks with President Vladimir Putin in Hanoi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters on Sunday.
"We hope sanctions will be lifted on Rosoboronexport, as well," Lavrov said.
