Defense Industry Commission to discuss fulfilling 2007 state defense order

MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax-AVN) - The Defense Industry Commission under the Russian government will discuss the 2007 state defense order at a meeting on Monday.

The meeting to be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will focus on fulfilling the 2007 state defense order, the Defense Ministry's PR directorate told Interfax-AVN.

"The major objective of the meeting consists in joining efforts and resources to carry out crucial research and development projects and analyses, as well as take steps aimed at fulfilling the state defense order and set price tags for military products," it said.

In addition to that, the meeting will discuss setting contract costs on defense product deliveries under the state defense order and increasing the efficiency of the price setting mechanism.

The meeting will be addressed by Director of the Defense and Security Programs Economy in the Economic Development Ministry Sergei Khutorstev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Andrei Dementiev, and head of the Russian Federal Tariff Service Sergei Novikov.
