MOSCOW. Nov 20. (Interfax-AVN) - South Ossetia has launched an autumn draft to the army, said the official site of the unrecognized republic.
The report quotes the South Ossetian Defense Ministry as saying that the republic is training troops at the moment.
"New recruits will receive all essential knowledge at a special training center. After that, as they continue preparations, they will be deployed into units of the Defense Ministry," the document says.
The term of service in the South Ossetian army would be completed in a year and a half.
