Tskhinvali offers to re-schedule settlement talks in Brussels

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax-AVN) - South Ossetia has asked for a four-sided meeting of parties to the Georgian-South Ossetian settlement to be postponed and to be held in Brussels, a statement published on the official web-site of the breakaway republic reads.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht, earlier sent letters to the chairmen of the Joint Control Commission proposing meeting of expert groups from the parties be held in Brussels, the statement reads.

"South Ossetia asked to postpone the meeting as a result of the inauguration of South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity and the formation of the new government," the statement referring to South Ossetian Deputy Prime Minister and co-chairman of the JCC Boris Chochiyev reads.
