Russian, Azerbaijani security services reach agreements

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax_AVN) - The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has reached agreements with the Azerbaijani National Security Ministry on joint measures in regions near the border between the two countries, the FSB said on Wednesday.

Delegations from the two security agencies discussed at a meeting "a number of key points of cooperation in border regions concerning more efficient interaction in looking for persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, more efficient organization of joint work to detect and interdict the smuggling of drugs and illegal migration, and the planning and implementation in border regions of coordinated operations and investigations concerning persons involved in crimes," the FSB said in a statement.
