Russia to complete ammo removal from Transdniestria in 10 months if political solution is found – Defense Ministry

KOVROV, Vladimir Region. Nov 24 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia is ready to complete ammo removal from Transdniestria within ten months, Army General Vladimir Isakov, head of the Armed Forces logistics directorate and deputy defense minister, said on Friday.

"If the Moldovan leaders and Tiraspol authorities find a political solution, we will need a month to resume ammo withdrawal, and we will complete it within ten months," Isakov told Interfax-AVN.

"Unfortunately, there are no visible signs of Chisinau's and Tiraspol's readiness to reach any political accords in the near future," he said.

Isakov recalled that over 25,000 tonnes of ammo are stored at warehouses of the former 14th army in Kolbasno.
