Cyprus national guards head discusses military-technical cooperation in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 24 (Interfax-AVN) - Supreme Commander Cypriot National Guards Lieutenant General. Konstantinos Bisbikas met with the leadership of the Leningrad Military District on Friday to discuss military-technical cooperation.

"The sides discussed on-going cooperation, primarily combat training," Colonel Yury Klenov, a PR assistant to Leningrad Military District commander, told Interfax-AVN on Friday.

He said that the Cypriot general met with the Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District, Colonel General Sergei Kizyun.

"The high-ranking guest, who arrived from Moscow on Thursday, also enjoyed a cultural program. After the dinner tonight, hosted by the Leningrad Military District leadership, he will return to Moscow with a special flight of the Russian Air Force," he said.

It was earlier reported that General Bisbikas will stay in Russia with a visit till Saturday.
