RIYADH. Feb 12 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin has said that he hopes that Russian-Saudi cooperation in space will hopefully develop further.
"Russian launch vehicles have taken seven Saudi satellites into orbit, and six other satellites are to be launched," Putin told a business forum in Riyadh on Monday.
"In fact, customers are queuing for launches, and problems have arisen in Europe over the launch timeframe. This sector holds significant promise for us," he said.
"Saudi Arabia's role in the early deployment of the GLONASS satellite navigation system would be very welcome," Putin said.
