MINSK. March 6 (Interfax-AVN) - A representative of the Belarussian Defense Ministry will pay a March 12-15 visit to Montreux, Switzerland, to discuss a working Euro-Atlantic partnership plan for 2008 and military cooperation with NATO, a Belarussian ministry spokesman told Interfax.
"A representative of the Belarussian Defense Ministry will meet with representatives of the NATO Strategic Command for Transformation to discuss issues of military cooperation between Belarus and NATO and events as part of a working Euro-Atlantic partnership plan for 2008," he said.
The Montreux negotiations will also address assistance for Belarus' efforts aimed at achieving the goals of the Partnership for Peace program's force planning and assessment process, as well as plans to train Belarussian servicemen as part of this program, the spokesman said.
