MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax-AVN) - A commission of the Strategic Missile Forces (SMF) is checking combat readiness of the Uzhursk missile army on combat duty, Vadim Koval, official of the SMF PR service, said on Tuesday.
"The army, stationed in the Krasnoyarsk territory, is being checked suddenly to determine the true state of combat readiness and quality of combat duty. The commission is led by Major General Viktor Fyodorov, SMF first deputy chief-of-staff," Koval said.
The army uses RS-20 Voyevoda silo-based strategic missile systems, he noted.
The check will last until the end of the week, he said.
